The Upstairs Event Space

The Perfect Space for Your Next Event

This recently remodeled 2,000 square foot space spans two rooms upstairs from Café Döbé and Doobie Nights, with the ability to close one off, and the other open to the café below. Decorated with a rotating selection of local art, furnished with customizable furniture options, and featuring a built-in bar, tables and chairs, couches and depending on the time, the use of the downstairs café space.

The Upstairs is now available for rent and is the perfect space for networking mixers, yoga, dance, or arts & crafts workshops, community meetings or corporate events, or even your next birthday party. Until Café Döbé is open, event rentals include both upstairs rooms and the downstairs café. The space is accessible by stairs only, and includes access to bathrooms down the back stairs. All furniture and the bar can be moved and arranged to suit your event’s needs, and we have several tables and chairs that can be used during events. Artwork from local artists fills the space, and we rotate artists every few months.

The space overlooks Café Döbé and the beautifully lit Portal of Wonder, unique art installations that make for a fun experience. The space can comfortably hold perhaps 200 people, but there are parking limitations, especially during business hours, so smaller events are better suited for the space. The Upstairs features a large room totaling over 2,000 square feet, with wood flooring, unique art, a built in bar and optional furniture.

Use the Calendar above to book the first hour of your planned event and the duration and we’ll adjust the event when we confirm. Rental costs will be discussed via email and depend on the hours and setup needed for your event. We want to make this space accessible to the community, so costs will be kept low during business hours.
